Logline 

When the stolen bell unleashes Panebok, Danto returns home after the murder of his shaman grandfather and discovers that only his bloodline can end the terror and the dark secrets that bind his family to the curse.

Synopsis:

Four teenage vloggers from Jakarta try to create viral social media content by resurrecting the ghost Panebok. They steal a haunted trap bell belonging to the shaman Baharun. Once the bell is rung, it becomes a call to die. They become the first victims.

Danto returns to Belitung after his grandfather, shaman Baharun, is murdered by Panebok. A spell without the bell, when placed in the wrong hands, cannot defeat Panebok’s vengeance. It turns out that Deni, the boy found decapitated, is the younger brother of Airin—the girl Danto once ghosted. Despite being rejected repeatedly, Danto wants to help her.

Airin doesn’t understand that her life is in danger. She nearly becomes Panebok’s next victim before Danto saves her. Hanafi, Baharun’s adopted son, is able to recite the mantra taught by Baharun—but since he is not a direct bloodline descendant, his power is too weak to face Panebok. The death toll keeps rising.

Danto eventually learns that Panebok has a deep connection to his family. Only Danto can recite the spell to trap Panebok because he is Baharun’s direct descendant. But the mantra alone won’t be enough—not now that Panebok controls the death-summoning bell.
